Hello everyone! My name is Kayla Sanders, and I am the Owner and Head Coach for PRIDE Athletics.  I was born and raised here in Durham, NC and cheerleading has always been my life! I have 17 years of personal experience cheering, Competitively and Scholastically, I cheered from middle school through college (Go Charlotte Forty-Niners!) and have been on all levels 1-6. I have been coaching since I was 19, working with both school cheer and all-star teams. Cheerleading is so important to me because it has always been my safe place, where I belonged! It taught me many life lessons and is a big reason I am the confident adult I am today. As a coach, my number one goal is to try to create the same kind of space for every child I encounter. That is why I created PRIDE—a space all about teaching confidence and being a place where you can be yourself!
